I like drawing shelves, too. And jars with things in them.

Did you really think I’d make it through a sketchbook without drawing an umbrella? Though I’m pretty sure there aren’t any top hats in this sketchbook. (Which is a minor tragedy now that I think about it.)

So I have a personal blog as well (facetiousfigmentand before I made this art blog I posted some of my art on there. I figured I’d share some of the bits I really liked here!

First of all thank you so much! I’m glad you like what I do!

As far as what medium I started with … that’s a hard thing to determine because I’ve been drawing/making things/arting it up for as long as I can remember. The particular style I draw with now has it’s roots in the way I would draw and doodle in the margins of my notebooks. So that medium would be regular old ball-point pens. I liked Pilot brand, but I like Bic pens, too, and I actually just ordered a box of like twelve of those for two bucks from Amazon.

I actually like doodling so much that for my 2012 Sketchbook Project(X) sketchbook I used colored pencils to make the paper look like lined notebook paper! (see below.)

I think the style was also developed by a love of Sharpie Markers and using them to doodle and make patterns on regular old computer paper.

Those are some Sharpie-fied drawings! I still use Sharpie Pens for some of my drawings today, though for color I tend to use colored pencils.

Thank you so much for question Anonymous! Hope you have a lovely day!
